We Made It!!
Well, we finally made it to NC and I have my computer unpacked, so here is my first posting from NC. The house is great except for some minor set backs. Our neighbors are wonderful and the kids are happy to be closer to family. I will post pictures later once I find all the software for my camera, which will be soon since I do not have any available room on my memory stick. Christmas was busy, but nice to be with family. I am thrilled to not get on a plane headed back to CA, which seems to be the norm for the past few years. The kids are somewhat adjusting to their new school. We will see how it turns out. Otherwise, it is good to be back in NC.

Getting over the Flu and Cold (and more pictures)
I am finally starting to regain my strength after a weekend with a cold and intestinal flu. Lets just say I did not get much packing done, so I am making up for it today and the rest of the week. I thought I would post some misc. pictures. Make sure to leave comments.
Joshua and Alex at Disneyland
Joshua and Sydney on the Mark Twain boat ride at Disneyland. They were dancing.
Sydney was so tired she actually was asleep in this picture. We were walking back to the shuttle.

Student of the Month
Joshua got Student of the Month at school, which is a high honor. He was given tokens for Chucky Cheese, free bowling passes, a ticket to sit in a F-16 and play with the controls, and a certificate. Matthew, being the US Marine, made a comment about taking Joshua over to sit in the CH-46. After Joshua sat in the F-16, he made the comment it was only a few minutes and he did not get to take a ride in it. Sydney was also given the chance to sit in the F-16. Joshua also received a certificate for reaching 25pts in the Accelerated Reader Program. This program requires them to comprehend what they have read and take a test on it to receive points. Congratulations Joshua!! Sydney will have her chance in 2nd grade.

Here are some pictures of our new home.
Happy Hump Day!!
Well, Matt and I are sick with a cold/flu. Matt is getting over the sickness, but I have a few days left. The kids seem to be sick free, for now at least. We are still packing and finding items we forgot we had. I guess those items can go into storage. Dyna is follow us everywhere trying to figure out what is going on. We are working on getting out of here. The kids are excited to start their new school, but will miss their current friends. They are looking forward to being closer to family as well.
Tuesday, November 29, 2005
Today is November 29th and is my first day of not working...at least for now. Yesterday I had my going away party at work and got all sorts of cool stuff. We spent our Thanksgiving at Disneyland. Here are some pictures from our trip. As usual, I am not in the pictures because I am always the one taking them. The ones with me in the picture were taken by my good friend Kim. They have year round passes to Disneyland, so they served as our tour guide. The kids had a blast and did not complain about walking until the end of the night. They did great considering that they walked for 13 straight hours (or stood in line for a 60 second ride). Thanksgiving day was not so bad, but Friday was packed. Well, I hope you all enjoy.
